What We Believe

What We Believe

  • The Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.
  • There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
  • In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule a thousand years.
  • In the blessed hope – the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.
  • The only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
  • Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
  • In water baptism by immersion.
  • The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
  • The baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
  • In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
  • In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

Four Cardinal Doctrines

The Four Cardinal Doctrines are to give guidance to ministry practices and priority rather than to give guidance in truth.

Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe that man is lost and without hope outside of Jesus Christ.  The only hope for man is that the Gospel be proclaimed so that he can be born again into the Kingdom of God.  Acts 4:12

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit

We believe that believers need to be Baptized in the Holy Spirit in order to function as God intended us to.  That the Baptism in the Spirit is an experience subsequent to salvation, evidenced by speaking in tongues.  Acts 2:10 and 19

Divine Healing

We believe that the finished work of Calvary includes healing for the body as well as for the soul.  What we mean by Divine healing is specific: it is for the body.  Isaiah 53:5  In addition, we believe that God continues to heal today as in the apostolic church in answer to obedience and believing prayer.  James 5:14

The Blessed Hope

We believe that the promise of the physical return of Christ is imminent and part of the Gospel.  No gospel preaching is complete unless this truth is proclaimed.  1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
