Our sometimes annual Family Kite Day is usually held toward the end of April. The exact date will be announced about 6 weeks before the event. We invite you to join us at 10:30am for church, but dress casual so that you can go immediately to the sandy beach area near the North Shore Marina, following the morning service. Each family unit should bring a proportional sized main dish and salad or dessert — in an ice chest. The church will supply 2 or 3 serving tables (NOT dinning tables), plastic ware, disposable plates, and ice tea and punch… but this is a “real” picnic. Bring folding chairs or a blanket to sit on for our potluck picnic lunch.
Bring your kites and lots of string. Invite your neighbors. This will be a fun day for kids, teens and adults! This is a family event, so NO provision is being made to supervise minors… this will be solely the responsibility of parents and/or guardians. Minors MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Even though this is a public beach, we ask that people NOT bring dogs. Children will be present. Dogs complicate picnics.
